Frequently Asked Questions

What is the hardness capability of your hard chrome …

700 to 1.050 HV (as required).

No (it is less than 100°C).

Yes, our process is capable.

Yes, our process is capable.

Yes, we also can plate chromium on T-Dies, plastic injection moulds, deep draw dies and air knifes which are non- cylindrical parts.

± 5 to 20 microns (based on plating thickness)

Yes, we can grind in convex/concave form (Our CNC roll grinders can grind curved surface contours).

2.500 mm diameter and 12.000 mm length.

When required, we do have complete manufacturing capability.

Based on the condition of the part, the required processes, and our current capacity, 5 to 30 working days.

For a formal quote, we require the parts’ dimensions (drawing-sketch-photographs), material alloys, a description of its application, the required surface treatment processes, quantity and contact information.

Depending on the application, the process is capable of 5 to 1.000 micron plating thickness.

Hard chrome plating will not cover or eliminate surface defects (pitting, holes, voids, scratches, etc.).  Therefore, surface defects need to be eliminated prior to the plating process.

Hard chrome plated surfaces should not be used over 400°C, more over this temperature the layer start to lose its hardness.
